SIBU: The continued presence of Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel at Sibu Airport is to ensure arriving passengers complete their e-health declaration forms, said Sibu Resident Charles Siaw. “All visitors entering Sibu Airport need to fill in e-health declaration form. The role of APM at the airport is to ensure that this is complied with. “Anyone from outside of Malaysia entering Sarawak will be quarantined at the hotel,” he said when contacted Sunday night. Siaw, who is also Sibu Division Disaster Management Committee chairman, added that APM personnel have been stationed at Sibu Airport “for quite some time already”. On Sunday, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee announced that from Aug 1-14, all Malaysians entering the state will have to undergo compulsory quarantine at designated hotels upon arrival. |
