BINTULU (July 10): The Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, along with his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, will officiate the Sarawak Day 2024 celebration in Bintulu on July 22.

This announcement follows a courtesy visit and an official invitation extended to Wan Junaidi and Fauziah by the main committee for the Sarawak Day 2024 celebration, led by Minister of Food Industry, Commodities, and Regional Development, Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom.

Themed “Sarawak Maju Makmur” (Prosperous and Progressive Sarawak), the celebration will include various programmes.

These programmes will encompass a multi-religious thanksgiving ceremony at the Bintulu Civic Centre on July 20, followed by another thanksgiving event at the Assyaqirin Mosque in Bintulu the next day.

The highlight of the celebration will be the Sarawak Day assembly on July 22, held at the Old Bintulu Airport.

Accompanying Dr Rundi in extending the invitation today were Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki; Deputy Minister of Women and Childhood Development Datuk Rosey Yunus; Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil; and Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneurial Development Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat.
