Greeting from Ministry of Transport, Sarawak The Ministry of Transport, Sarawak was set up in line with the cabinet resuffle on August 22, 2019 through the aspiration of the Honorable Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Abang Haji openg who appointed and thrusted me as the first Minister for Transport in Sarawak to ensure this transport affairs will benefit socio-economic growth. Hence, in order to reach developed state in Malaysia, we need to provide strategies and solutions related to transport in Sarawak. My Ministry has been tasked with a strategic role in planning and implementing an integrated, reliable, affordable, safe and eco-friendly public transport system in the State starting with Kuching City. The availability of good Public Transportation system is critical to support the efforts to achieve a developed State status by 2030. Through this website, the Ministry hopes that to share Sarawak's policies and directives and provide updates on transport services. Finally, I hope all relevant ministries, agencies and stakeholders can work together to ensure that we achieve our goal of becoming a developed nation by 2030.
