LEE GIVES OUT RM742,000 IN MRP FUND TO VARIOUS BODIES

A total of RM742,000 in Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocation was disbursed to 75 recipients at Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Senadin service centre yesterday.
State Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin presented the grants to the recipients comprising various social, religious, and educational organisations.
“This MRP grant is given to support the social, religious, and educational based organisations in carrying out their programmes and activities.
“It is hoped that the programmes and activities implemented will complement or supplement programmes run by the government,” he said in his address.
The Senadin assemblyman advised the recipients to use the financial assistance given by the government wisely for the benefit of their members.
He said some grants given to the religious bodies include funds for place of worship (building) extension projects. SUPP Senadin branch secretary Cr Jeffery Phang and SUPP Senadin branch Youth chief Cr Toh Kah Shiong were also present.
