This was discussed during a courtesy call by Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kuching Xing Weiping on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Kompleks Satria Pertiwi, here on Tuesday.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, the meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and discuss efforts to further enhance their relationship.
It also reflected the close ties between Sarawak and China, as well as both parties’ commitment to identifying new areas of collaboration across various fields.
Also present were Sarawak International Trade, Industry and Investment Ministry permanent secretary Datu Lester Matthew, Sarawak Climate and Energy Diplomacy Unit (SACED) director Ir Dr Angelia Liew San Chuin and Sarawak Transport Ministry deputy permanent secretary Mohamad Lotfi Tuah.
